14 Bloggers and Counting!
I've just spent the last hour catching up on everyone's blogs. Members of our blogroll include Justin, Ellen, Jay, Don S, Don W, Bunny, John W, Bob, Betty, Philip, Patty, Gerry, Ginny, and Patricia. Most people have had some fun with the Avatars, and everyone is off to a good start. Please take a minute now and then to see what your fellow CBHS bloggers are up to. I think you will find some useful insights regarding some "Things".

"Bloom's Taxonomy Blooms Digitally"
As we all progress through the Classroom Learning 2.0 Project, we may occasionally question the relevance of certain "Things" to our particular classroom situations.
I came across ths article today that might help explain why these technical skills are critical to today's students. This revision to Bloom's Taxonomy applies "digital terms" to each level of Thinking Skills.

Off to a Great Start

Fifteen of you came to the kickoff session yesterday, and some have already created a blog! A few more people will be joining us soon. Remember, the blog is your way of showing your progress through the course; be sure to name your blog entries WEEK #, THING # according to the appropriate lesson.
This blog is the home base for our group. Please come here each time you want to work in the course. You may want to create a shortcut on your desktop that takes you directly here.

Also, take time to look at the blogs of other team members; it's a great way to get ideas and to give encouragement.

Welcome
Welcome to the CBHS version of Classroom Learning 2.0! This is a Professional Development resource focused on strengthening 21st century teaching skills. It is brought to you by CSLA – California School Library Association.
CL 2.0 is online, self-paced tutorials composed of modules and activities designed to improve familiarity with Web 2.0 tools and their use in classroom settings.
You will make a blog of your own to track your progress. Use your blog to write your reactions to the lessons and add any ideas you may have on how to use web 2.0 tools at CBHS.
The course is designed to be completed in about nine weeks. You should expect to spend 2 to 4 hours per week in the program. Completed course will count for SACS credit. (approximately 2 CEUs).
To begin, click on the link "Classroom Learning 2.0" on the right side of the screen. You can begin immediately with "Thing 1". When you complete "Thing 3" please let me know your blog address so I can add it to the blogroll here.
